Join the 2022 Lancaster Festival in welcoming one of the leading galleries of Columbus and Ohio. Hammond Harkins Galleries, which is located in Columbus’ Short North Arts District, has its roots in Lancaster, where it started out on Main Street as Hammond Gallery over forty years ago. A gallery with a rich history, Hammond Harkins Galleries has evolved through the years and offers works by some of the most innovative and distinguished artists working today. “5 Artists” is a selection from the gallery’s roster and represents a broad range of styles and genres. The “5” are: Linda Gall, whose expressive figuration demonstrates a masterful control of the unwieldy medium of watercolor; Andrea Myers, who uses strips of dyed fabric to create abstract works of cosmic geometry; Melissa Vogley Woods, whose contemporary abstract paintings evoke the body in architectural space; Carol Stewart, a masterful contemporary realist who paints colorful still lifes that are both dynamic and contemplative; and Granville artist Paul Hamilton, one of the foremost landscape painters working today, anywhere. Stop by for these gallery highlights and add some art to your day. “5 Artists” will be on view at the Fairfield County District Library during regular library hours with free admission. The library is located at 219 N. Broad St., Lancaster, OH 43130.
