Please join us for this exhibition of new works by six gallery artists and our “plus 1” – Melissa Vogley Woods. Vogley Woods, who is new to Hammond Harkins Galleries, will transform the back of the gallery with an installation of new paintings and contemporary scagliola sculptures. Scagliola, a plastering technique that simulates the look and feel of marble, involves a guarded recipe that has been passed down from master to student for centuries. The artist recently returned from Italy where she met with master craftsmen and formulated ideas for new work. Stop in and experience this multifaceted exhibit, including scagliola sculptures by one of Columbus’ own artists.
