States of Wonder: New Works by Paul Hamilton

Please join us for a landmark exhibition from a master painter of landscapes. States of Wonder: New Works by Paul Hamilton is the artist’s 30th solo exhibition of his career. In addition to his much sought-after landscapes, this new body of work includes another favorite genre of his: still lifes. While the landscapes capture moments at once dramatic and intimate, the still lifes express a minimalism both serene and contemplative. In each instance, Hamilton puts a contemporary spin on a classic genre and leaves room for wonder. Also on display will be a new landscape installation consisting of 54 panels. Painterly and abstract up close, the panels merge into a single, coherent image from a distance. It is a monumental work to be seen in person.
