Artist Statement

I find a thrill in the unknown and the “art” of waiting. I often spend hours walking or sitting on a corner before discovering my next photographic subject. I’m drawn to individual traits like facial features, hairstyle choices, and attitude.

When the right person captures my attention, they may initially seem like a stranger, but our brief encounter connects us for life.

I love the authenticity of meeting people in their everyday lives and capturing that moment in a portrait. There’s no chance to put on a façade—this is who you are, and this is your moment. They never expected to be photographed that day, just as I had no idea who I would meet.
