Artist Statement

I am a Chicago-based artist whose practice revolves around capturing the fleeting and timeless through photographic experiments and mixed media. My work often blends traditional processes, such as cyanotypes and analog film, with tactile, unexpected materials, creating compostions that explore themes of memory, connection, and transformation.

Classically trained in darkroom practices, I studied Studio Art at DePaul University, where I developed my commitment to photography as the only thing that has ever made sense to me. Photography, for me, is a deeply primal act — a ritual of preserving fleeting moments, as if bottling light and experience.

The quiet nature of my work is an ode to the intimacy and vulnerability inherent in making art, reflecting a deep connection to the roots of femininity. Through handwork and paper, I explore themes of tenderness and resilience, balancing the delicate textures of muted tones with a sense of stillness. My art invites viewers into a space where the tangible and intangible converge, honoring the fragility of memory and transformative power of light.
