Ryan Orewiler

Ryan Orewiler is a native to Columbus, Ohio growing up in the South Side and historic German Village since the 1980's. He is a Alumna of CCAD and majored in Illustration with a secondary focus in painting. After graduating, he began painting cityscapes of Columbus and his travels around the world.

In 2005, he challenged himself to create a minimalist series of abstracts that integrated with the cityscape concept and the Metro Grid Series were born. This series is reminiscent of minimalist cityscapes, city grids and identifying the economic structure of each city. This series has been exhibited in Columbus, Chicago, Cleveland New York and Berlin, Germany.

Over the years, Orewiler has donated several Metro paintings to charitable events including Art for Life, Art of Recovery and others raising over $10,000 to help with people needing assistance for mental health and medical help.

Orewiler recently has infused his cityscapes images behind the grid format for collections and corporate commissioned work. He currently plans to create a large scale Metro Grid Series mural for a corporation and a private residence.
